5 Minutes for Mom Provides Three-part Series Detailing its Ford Flex Test Drive Experience
Erica Mueller, a writer for 5 Minutes for Mom and founder of Green-Parents.com, took the Ford Flex for a test drive and wrote a three-part series detailing her test drive experience. Erica’s posts give you an in-depth view of the car with a few slide shows and videos showing her perspective on what makes the Flex the perfect “mom car”.
“In a word, the Ford Flex is Impressive. Everything about this vehicle reflects the thought and hard work Ford put into making the Flex their best crossover-SUV!”
Ploomy Test Drives a Lincoln MKS to See What the American Auto Industry had to Offer During Tough Economic Times

Stergeron of the Men’s lifestyle blog, Ploomy, jumped at the opportunity to test drive a Lincoln MKS because he wanted to see first-hand what the American auto industry had to offer during these tough economic times. His drive in the Lincoln MKS exceeded his expectations, surprised a few of his co-workers and renewed his hope that the American auto industry will turn around.
“After the car was dropped off, I asked a couple people in the office to come check out the MKS. Both were impressed with the stance of the car. “It looks mean. Look at that grill, it’s a BEAST”, said one of them. The other said, “Wow, it’s not what I expected.” Read into those comments all you want, but I was equally impressed when I first saw the MKS.”
When we contacted Jim Lin, of Busy Dad about taking a spring break trip in the Ford Flex, he had a pretty special trip already in mind. Jim’s mom was competing in the Ballroom Dance Nationals in Las Vegas and he needed a vehicle to get him and his family there to support her while she was competing in the finals. She ended up winning two medals and Jim and his family got to Vegas in style!
“My Favorite Thing: The fridge in the middle console. So you lose a potential seat with the fridge, but I would gladly tie an extra passenger to the roofrack to be able to enjoy a cold beverage whenever I want to. Especially in LA, where traffic and heat are a daily challenge. It even has freeze mode -- perfect for keeping specimens from field trips that didn't make the drive home and are starting to smell.
Overall, I have to say I really like the Ford Flex. I wouldn't give up my current car to have one, but my wife would. And has been asking for one ever since Vegas. “
City Mama Says Ford Might Become the “New” American Auto Industries First Success Story After Taking a Ford Flex for a Spin
Photo Credit: Stefania Pomponi Butler, City Mama
Stefania Pomponi Butler (a.k.a City Mama) recently tested the family-friendly features in the Ford Flex on a spring break road trip to Oregon. As a gadget enthusiast , Stephania loved the AC and USB outlets, the Sony Stereo system and the built-in refrigerator, but more importantly she felt that Ford might become the “new” American Auto industries first success story:
“Despite suffering it's worst quarter ever, Ford is a company that is projecting tiny glimmers of hope. If Ford believes in its products enough to put them in the hands of users for honest, unfettered reviews, then that counts for something. They aren't controlling the message or the conversation, and that makes me believe that perhaps they will be listening to feedback from their consumers' (potential and otherwise). Isn't it about time some of these companies started listening? If Ford is going to sell their cars, they'd better be the ones that consumers want. (This consumer wants a leaner, greener, safe car. Not just a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid. And let's talk renewable energy sources while we're at it.)
As far as I can tell, Ford is the only car company that is letting "the people" participate in the future of the company and Ford keeps it up, they just might be the first success story of the new automobile industry.”

Obsessable covers the latest trends in cell phones, digital, cameras, HDTVs and other gadgets so car reviews typically aren’t their thing. However, C.K. Sample couldn’t resist taking the 2009 Lincoln MKS for a drive to test out all the technology this car has to offer. Check out his post to learn more about the tech savvy features of the Lincoln MKS. http://www.obsessable.com/feature/2009-lincoln-mks-test-drive-review/
“As a car, the Lincoln MKS looks pretty slick. When we picked it up in Manhattan and spent that afternoon pretending we were a NY Taxi driver shooting around town, we noticed several heads turning to look at the MKS. Once while parked, a guy crossed the street nearby and shouted out to us, "Nice car!" The MKS handled well and was a comfortable ride, but that's about as in-depth as our review of the car as a car alone will be. The rest of this review focuses on the technology inside and outside the Lincoln MKS.”
Daddy Types Learns a Station Wagon Can Change One’s Life
Greg Allen of Daddy Types, a blog for new dads, took the Ford Flex for a spin to pre-school and said “I took it out for 30 minutes this morning, and I can say without qualification that it changed my life. Instead of walking, I drive the kid to preschool. Though the Flex looks like a station wagon from the outside, inside it feels like an SUV. The doors lock automatically as you roll off.”
They’ve been around awhile – a snippet of advice here, an old adage there. They’re the guidelines that are supposed to help keep cars running in top condition. Problem is, most of them aren’t based in fact – or they’re just plain outdated.
Ford Police Interceptor Concept: Ford, the market leader in the law enforcement vehicle segment, reveals details on its next-generation, purpose-built Police Interceptor that will exceed the durability, safety, performance and fuel economy of the outgoing Ford Crown Victoria.
To Ford Motor Company,
I have been in the dry-cleaning business since 1982. Over the years I have developed a large residential pick up and delivery service. We go out four days a week to the surrounding communities, and pick up and deliver customers clothing. This service has become the corner stone of my business. I have owned a 1990 E150 window van, and most recently a 1997 E150 cargo van. Both vans were used for this service. When my 1997 van approached 200,000 miles, I started to contemplate my next delivery vehicle. My two Ford vans were dependable and spacious, but may have been ove
Getting a nation back on the road to prosperity is hard work. Rebuilding and repairing a battered infrastructure takes the right tools. As much as we like small cars, there are some jobs they just can’t do. Sometimes, you need a super capable, super tough truck to ‘getter done.” Sometimes you need a Super Duty.
@NickMcLaren You'll take delivery sometime between May and Sept--timing depends on when you order at the dealer. ^EA #2010/03/11
Love this! RT @SvenskaSpark I already love everything about my Fiesta, and it's not even here yet! I feel like I'm expecting a car baby. ^EA #2010/03/11
