Ford blends iconic Mustang design with modern racing technology.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the classic film “Bullitt” starring Steve McQueen and featuring a car chase scene that changed movie history, the 2008 Mustang Bullitt rolls into dealerships this year. The special edition vehicle delivers power and performance with its 4.6-liter V-8 delivers 315 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
In homage to the classic 1968 original movie car, the 2008 Mustang Bullitt sports Dark Highland Green exterior paint and no exterior badges, scoops and spoilers.
While the Mustang’s look of quiet intensity may be a nod to the classic movie car, the modern Ford racing technology ensures the 2008 Bullitt meets the needs of today’s car enthusiasts. The engine has been calibrated to increase throttle response, and the top-end speed has been raised to 151 miles-per-hour.
The new H-pipe specifically developed for Bullitt is tuned to minimize backpressure, maximize horsepower and provide the Bullitt with its powerful exhaust note.
