Dealers Drive Away Lincoln MKS

Comerica Park hosts Lincoln MKS dealer drive-away event.

Detroit Area Dealers Pick Up Their 2009 Lincoln MKS

More than 80 dealer sales personnel attended a drive-away program for the all-new Lincoln MKS at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers baseball team. In addition to learning about the new flagship from Lincoln and then driving one back to the dealer lot, the sales personnel got a behind-the-scenes tour of Comerica Park and competed in a trivia contest centered on the Lincoln MKS.

“Today’s event and the all-new MKS are the equivalent of a grand slam for Lincoln,” says Adam Kolb of Hines Park Lincoln Mercury in Plymouth, Michigan.

Lincoln MKS Technology

Lincoln’s flagship luxury sedan delivers largest selection of technology features.

2009 Lincoln MKS

More than any other luxury sedan in its class, the Lincoln MKS offers customers a vast array of convenient technology features, including:

Adaptive Cruise Control – Four setting allow the driver to set the car’s speed and maintain it without using the accelerator pedal as well as control desired distance settings and gap between vehicles. The radar-based system can monitor the vehicle in front (up to 600 feet) and adjust vehicle speed, keeping it a safe distance even in fog or heavy rain.

Securicode on 2009 Lincoln MKSIntelligent Access with Push Button Start – This first for Lincoln allows the driver to enter the Lincoln MKS and start the engine without having to search around for a key. The Intelligent Access key fob works even if it is kept in the trunk, in a coat pocket or briefcase.

SecuriCode™ Keyless Entry Keypad – Drivers can access their car by unlocking the driver door using a five-digit code. Flush-mounted to the vehicle’s driver-side B-pillar, heat-sensitive, backlit numerals become visible once the keyless entry keypad is touched.

The Forward Sensing System – Engaging below a speed of 8 mph, four hidden sensors emit audible beeps to help drivers determine the proximity of objects in front of their vehicle while parking. The system identifies objects up to 1,500 feet away, including items such as parking blocks, which are at certain heights out of the driver’s view.

EasyFuel Capless Fuel-Filler System

Ford makes filling up easier

2009 Ford F-150 FX4

The EasyFuel™ Capless Fuel-Filler System eliminates the gas tank screw cap for more simple fuel fill ups. No more gas odor on hands or gloves, or the unwanted amber dash light because the gas cap wasn’t screwed on tightly enough.
In addition to eliminating these hassles, EasyFuel helps reduce evaporative emissions that create smog and contribute to global warming. Spring-loaded tabs pull back a flap in the filler neck when the pump nozzle is inserted. When fueling is complete, and the nozzle is removed, the system automatically seals shut.

EasyFuel™ was introduced on the 2008 Ford Explorer. It will be standard equipment on the new Ford F-150, Flex and Lincoln MKS in 2009. The system will be offered on the entire Ford, Lincoln and Mercury product line by 2010.
