New Ford F-150 Adds Best Residual Value to Unsurpassed Fuel Economy and Capability
- The all-new 2009 Ford F-150 has earned a Residual Value Award from Automotive Leasing Guide (ALG) for retaining the highest percentage of its original price among 2009 full-size light duty pickups at the end of a conventional three-year lease, based on ALG projections
- The 2009 Ford F-150 also has won “Truck of Texas” from the Texas Auto Writers Association, Popular Mechanics’ Automotive Excellence Award in the Workhorse category and “Best Overall Half-Ton Pickup” in PickupTrucks.com’s annual shoot out
The country’s best-selling pickup also is projected to have the segment’s best residual value for the 2009 model year, according to Automotive Leasing Guide (ALG).
The new 2009 Ford F-150 has earned a Residual Value Award from ALG, which predicts the truck will retain the highest percentage of its original price among 2009 full-size light duty pickups at the end of a conventional three-year lease term.
“The ALG Residual Value Award further validates that we are building vehicles that customers really want and value,” said John Felice, general manager, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Marketing.
“F-150’s projected resale value is a reflection of the quality, durability, product attributes and value that were designed into the truck from the beginning,” he added. “High residual value helps lower the cost of vehicle ownership. We understand how important that is to our customers.”
ALG, a California-based consulting and data-gathering firm, says its Residual Value Awards are derived from carefully studying segment competition, historical vehicle performance and industry trends.
The new 2009 Ford F-150 continues piling up accolades, recently winning the prestigious “Truck of Texas” distinction from the Texas Auto Writers Association, capturing the “Workhorse” category of Popular Mechanics’ Automotive Excellence Awards as well as being named PickupTrucks.com’s “Best Overall Half-Ton Pickup.”
