The 2009 Lincoln MKS design is based on classic and concept design cues.

2009 Lincoln MKS

The meticulously crafted exterior design for the new Lincoln MKS incorporates several distinctive features using premium materials:

  • Inspired by the 1941 Lincoln Continental, a double-wing chrome grille sports a Lincoln star between the grille’s wings.
  • High-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, integrated as part of a single graphic element on the grille face.
  • A sleek roofline formed by a sculpted hood and fast-raked windshield.
  • As a nod to classic Lincoln design, the beltline rises slightly over the rear wheels.
  • LED taillights each with a vertical white light tracing the side of the tall decklid.
  • A horizontal chrome strip inset with a Lincoln star runs across the back of the decklid.
  • Stainless steel is featured in the polished window surround as well as in a strip that runs the length of the vehicle, framing the available dual-panel moonroof.
